Job summary

Brilliant Staffing, LLC in Waukegan, IL is seeking a Materials Planner to manage the lifecycle of materials from procurement through production in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. The role is a 50/50 split between material planning and purchasing, bridging raw materials with shop-floor scheduling and data traceability.

Direct Hire on-site position with emphasis on vendor management, inventory control, and coordination across Supply Chain, Machining, Assembly, Quality, and Shipping.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of material planning, purchasing, or production control in manufacturing/machine shop.
• ERP/MRP systems experience; Epicor or Dynamics 365 a plus.
• Excel skills for data analysis required.

Responsibilities

• Procurement & vendor management: source, negotiate, and issue POs.
• Material & production planning: manage inventory, reorder points, safety stock.
• Outside processing coordination: route steps and track materials to vendors.
• Cross-functional alignment: coordinate with Supply Chain, Machining, Assembly, Quality, Shipping.
• Systems & data integrity: manage ERP documentation and data accuracy.
