Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Analyze MRP/ERP reports daily to identify material requirements and release purchases.
  • Release purchase requisitions to fulfill forecasts and master production schedules.
  • Provide shortage visibility and impact analysis to stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain intercompany purchase orders and communicate with counterparts.
  • Support Kanban or VMI programs where applicable.
  • Review cycle count reports and flag critical variances affecting production.
  • Coordinate with procurement to adjust orders with schedule changes.
  • Monitor actual material costs against the project budget.
  • Track committed costs and align delivery with cost-to-cost/percent complete targets.
  • Serve as backup for peers and maintain audit-ready records.

Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze MRP/ERP reports daily to identify net material requirements, review action messages and release purchase requisitions.
  • Release purchase requisitions to fulfill demand forecasts and master production schedule.
  • Provide daily shortage visibility and impact analysis to Production Planner, Operations Leaders.
  • Create and maintain all "intercompany" purchase orders and maintain daily communication with intercompany counterparts.
  • Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company.
  • Support Kanban or Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs where applicable.
  • Review and analyze cycle count reports from warehouse team to highlight any critical component variances that will impact production.
  • Collaborate with procurement to expedite or defer orders proactively based on changes to production schedules.
  • Monitor actual material costs incurred to date against total estimated project budget.
  • Track committed costs to project (Open Purchase Orders and Supplier Agreements).
  • Align delivery of high value components with the project "Cost to Cost/Percent Complete" targets.
  • Serve as backup/cross‑coverage for peer planners and buyers as needed.
  • Maintain audit‑ready records and support internal/external and customer audits.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience, or a combination of education and on‑the‑job experience.
  • Solid understanding of business processes and functional inter‑relationships.
  • Strong background in project material management.
  • Extensive experience in production planning.
  • Skilled in the use of Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, Power Point, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems.

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.

Salary Range: $60,051/year – $90,000
