We are currently hiring a Materials Planner responsible for purchasing components and raw materials for medical device manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving patients, improving our products, and possess manufacturing, continuous improvement, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, thriving in a high-paced, team-oriented environment.

This role is based in Eatontown, supporting Cranial and Spinal Technologies, delivering life-saving products to patients annually.

Responsibilities include:

1. Sourcing, purchasing, planning, and scheduling raw materials, components, and finished goods through production and inventory processes.
2. Identifying material requirements from engineering and production schedules.
3. Analyzing data to determine cost-effective procurement options without compromising quality or reliability.
4. Coordinating with production, warehouse, and engineering teams for procurement and scheduling.
5. Monitoring price trends and manufacturing processes.
6. Managing supplier performance and demand/supply analysis.
7. Maintaining MRP for optimal inventory levels.
8. Managing Purchase Requisitions in SAP and obtaining approvals.
9. Providing technical support for master data accuracy in Agile and SAP.
10. Collaborating with accounts payable for invoice and receipt accuracy.
11. Acting as liaison between suppliers and Medtronic, scheduling SIOP meetings for forecast alignment.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with no experience

Nice to Have

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Knowledge of Ariba, SAP, Agile, and Blue Yonder
• Certifications like APICS, CSCP, CPIM, ISM, CPSM, or CPSD (preferred)
• Experience in sourcing or supplier management within FDA-regulated industries
• Strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams, with sound judgment and influence skills
