Job summary

Austin Allen Company - Professional Recruitment is partnering with a growing Memphis manufacturer to hire a Materials Planner/Buyer. This role focuses on scheduling, inventory control, and on-time shipments within an ERP/MRP environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree, have at least 3 years in planning/purchasing, and possess IMPORT experience to secure pricing and lead times. Local candidates only, with salary up to $90,000 and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, any discipline.
• Must have IMPORT experience.
• Experience with ERP/MRP system.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a planning and purchasing role.

Responsibilities

• Work with management to develop methods for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency.
• Drive procurement strategies within established pricing frameworks.
• Secure competitive pricing, lead times, and MOQs.
• Negotiate routine commercial terms with approved vendors.
• Manage Inventory and Forecasting needs & usage.
• Ensure materials for manufacturing and on-time shipment align with corporate objectives.
