Job summary

Clayton Homes in Texas seeks an Assistant Materials Manager to oversee production material purchasing, demand planning, and ERP-based procurement. You will work with production teams to minimize shortages and improve material flow, while growing vendor relations to meet facility needs.

Responsibilities include PO processing, stock optimization, and collaboration with suppliers to support efficient production scheduling and cost-saving initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role in Texas.

Qualifications

• Experience with ERP/Oracle in a manufacturing setting is strongly preferred.
• Must communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, create, and expedite purchase orders to meet production needs.
• Maintain stock levels and support inventory goals.
• Analyze capacity and material requirements for production schedules.
• Coordinate with production and suppliers on material status.
• Support cost savings initiatives and supplier performance feedback.
