Job summary

DP World in Kansas City, MO is hiring a Materials Planner / Operations Planner to ensure uninterrupted operations, accuracy in inventory, and efficient supply chain management. The role is on-site with an hourly rate of $25 and regular M-F hours with some overtime.

You will quote rates for special shipping needs, track shipments, resolve inventory discrepancies with customers, and contribute to process improvements. Relocation assistance is not available.

Job description

As DP World continues to support the rapid growth of hyperscale and enterprise data center infrastructure, a dedicated Materials Planner / Operations Planner is critical to ensuring uninterrupted operations, inventory accuracy, and supply chain efficiency. Data center environments depend on having the right parts, equipment, and consumables available exactly when needed. Even minor shortages or delays can impact project timelines, maintenance activities, and customer commitments.

Hourly Rate: $25

Hours: M-F some OT required

This position is on-site in Kansas City, MO. Relocation assistance is not currently available for the role.

How you will contribute

• Provide rate quotes for nonstandard transportation, i.e. expedite shipments. Perform order registration which may include special requirements, extra labor, forklifts, cranes, etc.
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery, track and trace shipments.
• Apply applicable late reason codes in accordance to Service Failure tracking and reporting
• Work with customer to resolve inventory discrepancies. Follow-up with regards to exception reporting and damage assessment, communicate to customer.
• Participate in process flow documentation and standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for improvement based on customer needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• Customer service background in logistics with ability to handle problem resolution in timely manner.
• Previous Telecommunication site delivery coordination experiences a plus.
• Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge with strong emphasis on Excel used for tracking and analysis.
• Must be able to manage inventory in an RF. Portal, and Manual system environment. This candidate will work in an office setting but will be expecting to travel to warehouse as needed.
• Understand transportation modes and service levels.

Compensation

Starting Hourly Rate: $25.00
