Job summary

DP World is seeking an Operations Planner to coordinate transportation activities from order registration through final delivery, ensuring on-time shipments and satisfied customers. The role supports inventory management and works closely with customers and internal teams to meet transportation needs.

The ideal candidate will handle rate quotes, register orders with special requirements, and track shipments while resolving issues quickly.

Qualifications

• Customer service background in logistics with ability to handle problem resolution in timely manner.
• Previous Telecommunication site delivery coordination experiences a plus.
• Word, Excel, Outlook knowledge with strong emphasis on Excel used for tracking and analysis.
• Must be able to manage inventory in an RF. Portal, and Manual system environment. This candidate will work in an office setting but will be expecting to travel to warehouse as needed.
• Understand transportation modes and service levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate damage assessments and communicate updates to customers.
• Support process documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements based on customer and operational needs.
• Support inventory management within RF Portal and manual systems as needed.

Are you an organized logistics professional who enjoys coordinating shipments, solving transportation challenges, and keeping customer orders moving on schedule? DP World is seeking a detail‑oriented Operations Planner to support transportation planning, shipment coordination, inventory management, and customer service. This role is ideal for someone who can manage multiple priorities, quickly respond to shipment exceptions, and work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure transportation needs are met.

What You’ll Do

As an Operations Planner, you will coordinate transportation activities from order registration through final delivery while helping ensure shipments remain on time and customer expectations are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide rate quotes for nonstandard and expedited transportation requests
• Register customer orders and identify special transportation requirements, including additional labor or equipment
• Ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments
• Track and trace shipments throughout the transportation process
• Monitor service failures and apply appropriate late-reason codes for reporting
• Work directly with customers to resolve inventory discrepancies and shipment exceptions
• Coordinate damage assessments and communicate updates to customers
• Support process documentation and standard operating procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvements based on customer and operational needs
• Support inventory management within RF Portal and manual systems as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Customer service experience within logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to resolve customer issues quickly
• Previous telecommunications delivery coordination experience is a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong Excel skills for tracking and analysis
• Experience managing inventory within RF Portal or manual inventory systems
• Understanding of transportation modes and service levels
• Strong organizational, communication, and follow‑up skills
• Ability to work in an office environment while traveling to the warehouse as needed

How you will contribute

• Provide rate quotes for nonstandard transportation, i.e. expedite shipments. Perform order registration which may include special requirements, extra labor, forklifts, cranes, etc.
• Ensure on‑time pickup and delivery, track and trace shipments.
• Apply applicable late reason codes in accordance to Service Failure tracking and reporting
• Work with customer to resolve inventory discrepancies. Follow‑up with regards to exception reporting and damage assessment, communicate to customer.
• Participate in process flow documentation and standard operating procedures and identify opportunities for improvement based on customer needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
