Materials Planner

Partner with the best

As a Materials Planner, you will plan and schedule material needs for Heavy Duty Gas Tech Services Modules according to production schedules. You will collaborate with Operations, Technical, and Engineering leaders to ensure standards and organizational needs are met. You will also lead planning support initiatives and develop an operational yearly plan, suggesting improvements in products, processes, and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Establishing job induction plans based on resources and workload to meet Customer Want Date (CWD) and ensure stable operations.
  2. Responding to planning queries, collecting, analyzing, and recording job progress data.
  3. Analyzing process data to demonstrate process capability, identify root causes of deviations, and implement corrective actions.
  4. Working with the Forecasting & Planning (F&P) team to ensure projected volumes align with shop plans.
  5. Conducting daily production meetings, sharing minutes, following up on actions, and attending repair reviews to update on jobs.
  6. Updating ERP systems with job order statuses and ensuring accurate reflection of job progress.
  7. Negotiating amendments to proposed completion dates with customers.
  8. Collaborating with engineering on spare ordering processes and with operations to optimize machinery utilization, ensuring jobs are completed within budget hours and cycle times.
  9. Ensuring availability of necessary consumables/spares for each job in collaboration with the material/operations team.

Desired qualifications:

  • A degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) and 3+ years of experience in materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, inclusive working style, and ability to interface effectively across all organizational levels and with customers.

Work arrangements:

Flexible working options include:

  • Monday-Friday, 7 am - 4 pm
  • Onsite position
