Job summary

The Museum of Science in Boston is seeking a Materials and Operations Associate to provide hands-on operational support for PK12 teams delivering workshops, conferences, and outreach. You will organize materials, manage inventory, and ensure spaces are ready for in-person and virtual events.

You will handle shipping, receiving, restocking, and kit development with the Curriculum team, collaborate with multiple departments, and support registration, data management, and vendor communications.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills with ability to track materials and data accurately.
  • Enjoys working with educators and vendors to support PK12 programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on operational and logistical support for PK12 teams, workshops, conferences, and pilots.
  • Prepare, organize, pack, ship, receive, and restock materials for ~40 teacher workshops and ~15 conferences yearly.
  • Maintain materials, inventory, and Professional Learning kits with accurate records.
  • Support event registration and customer inquiries, managing data and communications.
  • Assist with sourcing materials and coordinating with vendors including Hand2Mind.
  • Maintain organized PK12 spaces and assist with basic hybrid A/V setups.
