Job summary

DP World (syncreon) in York, PA is seeking an experienced Materials Supervisor to plan, direct and coordinate operations at the facility. You will improve performance, productivity and efficiency by applying effective methods and strategies to ensure smooth receiving, storage, and distribution.

The role requires supervising a team, ensuring safe operation of material handling equipment, and eliminating hazards. A high school diploma is required; college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Position requires a high school diploma. A college degree is preferred.
• Experience supervising in an automotive or logistics based industry.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate and deal with a variety of people including internal and external customers, management, and functional departments.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and monitor receiving, shipping, storage, and distribution to ensure smooth operation and proper distribution to departments.
• Lead, train, and motivate the team; ensure safe operation of material handling equipment.
• Supervise loading/unloading and movement of materials to/from storage efficiently and safely.
• Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents.
• Other duties as assigned.
