Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of purchasing/materials management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Managerial experience in materials management systems including supply chain, cash flow and asset management.
• Bachelors in business, engineering, or materials management with certification preferred.
• Analytical and technical skills to analyze business practices and automation opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external contacts.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (spreadsheets, word processing, databases, presentations).
• Standard work and ad hoc responsibilities per priorities and standards.
• Workflow driven by internal and external customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement and materials management, supplier evaluation and compliance.
• Coordinate production planning and manufacturing resource planning activities.
• Oversee MRP data accuracy, integrity, and ownership.
• Monitor shipping/receiving and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize planning systems such as PFEP and S&OP.
• Manage location materials metrics and performance standards.
• Define and implement automated material flow planning and tracking.
• Ensure inventory policies align with corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with divisional materials personnel on purchasing.
• Support audits and budget management.
• Drive cost reduction programs and supplier quality improvements.
• Develop materials team through training and policy enforcement.
• Benchmark and implement lean principles and kanban across division.
