Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures in Gadsden, AL is seeking an Inventory Analyst to help maintain accurate inventory levels across Materials, Shipping, and Operations. The role involves entering, tracking, updating, and reporting on inventory items, and assisting with cycle counts and yard audits.

Reporting to the Materials Manager, you will work with Buyers and AP to close line items and improve record keeping. A background in manufacturing and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience and/or education.
• A high degree of dependability, maturity, and responsibility.
• Prev. experience in manufacturing facilities preferred, but not required.
• Experience with reconciliations, records keeping, accounts payable and related tasks preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Regular and predictable attendance, great attitude, and teamwork toward common goals.

Responsibilities

• Enter, track, update, and report on inventory items.
• Create and issue cut tickets for plate and non-plate.
• Follow up on allocated/not used plates and other items.
• Assist with cycle counts and yard audits.
• Maintain shipping paperwork and records retention.
• Conduct purchase card reconciliations.
• Assist Buyers with closing line items and matching with accounts payable.
• Create job folders for Plate Buyers and job packets for the Bolt House.
• All other duties as assigned.

Meyer Utility Structures is currently looking for an Inventory Analyst for our plant located in Gadsden, AL. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this position will work closely with our Materials, Shipping, and Operations Department personnel to ensure our inventory levels are adequately maintained and accurate at all times.

What You'll Do:

• Enter, track, update, and report on various inventory items


• Create and issue cut tickets for plate and non-plate


• Follow up on allocated/not used plates, and other items as needed


• Assist with cycle counts and yard audits


• Maintain records retention for shipping paperwork and other items as necessary


• Conduct purchase card reconciliations


• Assist Buyers with closing line items and matching with accounts payable


• Create job folders for Plate Buyers


• Create job packets for the Bolt House


• All other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:

• Previous experience working with/in manufacturing facilities is preferred, but not required

• Regular and predictable attendance, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
