Job summary

Nelson Global Products Inc. is seeking a Materials Manager to develop and maintain plant processes for inventory control and sourcing efficiency. You will drive material planning, lead a materials team, and work with corporate sourcing to ensure timely PPAPs and minimal scrap.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years in Materials, with strong leadership and ERP skills to keep deliveries on track and costs down. Indianapolis-based, on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of materials experience.
• Experience with most aspects of plant operations and processes.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Management to AOP Plan.
• Order management of Customer orders and demands/EDI orders.
• ERP parameter settings driving material planning requirements.
• Plan raw material and supply chain to meet plant production needs.
• Manage Excess & Obsolete Inventory Review and disposition.
• Troubleshoot logistic demands for customers and suppliers.
• Drive value added activities to improve material yield and reduce scrap.
• Coordinate PPAP approvals with Corporate Sourcing and Material Planning teams.
• Manage the Materials staff at the plant.
• Drive Continuous Improvement within Materials processes.
