Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Materials Manager in Fort Smith to lead production scheduling, materials planning and inventory strategy while enabling lean improvements across the plant. You will drive scheduling, supplier performance and the implementation of a standardized SIOP playbook to ensure on-time fulfillment and optimized inventories.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years in materials management in manufacturing, plus 3+ years in a managerial capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years in materials management within a manufacturing environment using lean concepts and progressive supplier relationships.
• At least 3 years of managerial experience focusing on standardizing planning and execution and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Own materials management including warehouse management and site-wide planning strategy.
• Optimize scheduling, purchasing, inventory planning and supplier performance measurement.
• Implement and maintain Materials and SIOP standard work playbook processes across production planning to procurement.
• Lead receiving, shipping, warehousing and parts presentation with efficient processes.
• Drive countermeasures for underperforming processes or suppliers.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery speed and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Global Procurement Leaders during supplier selection and promote APICS certification.
• Align production plans with the published SIOP consensus plan.
• Provide local leadership for ERP systems and process changes.
• Develop and guide local planning teams, ensuring proper staffing and HR policy adherence.
