Trane Technologies is seeking a senior materials manager for an on-site role in Columbia, SC. You will lead materials management, planning strategy, inventory control and ensure smooth flow from order management through production planning to procurement and shipping.

The position requires 10+ years in integrated materials management within lean manufacturing, plus 5+ years in a managerial capacity. APICS CPIM is preferred. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits accompany this role.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in materials management in lean manufacturing environments.
• Minimum 5 years in managerial roles focusing on standardization and talent development.
• Experience with rate-based, flow line and job shop environments.
• Experience with MRP, scheduling, and lean processes.

Aufgaben

• Lead materials management, planning strategy, inventory control, and material flow.
• Optimize scheduling, purchasing, supplier performance, and indirect materials management.
• Implement material standards including SIOP and cycle counting.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Engineering, Accounting, Marketing, and Quality Assurance.
• Develop countermeasures for underperforming processes and suppliers.
• Manage suppliers and inventory in a Lean Six-Sigma environment.
• Organize staffing and support Global Procurement leaders during supplier selection.
• Promote APICS certification and develop staff development programs.
