Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s in operations management, business, or related field preferred.
• Three years’ experience as Materials Manager for a hospital, surgery centre or high-volume physician’s office.
• Excellent organizational, written, computer, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventories and processes for receiving and distribution of supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate daily departmental operations including distribution, inventory, equipment and records.
• Ensure items ordered have proper information for prompt delivery and proper orders.
• Review purchase orders against packing slips and stock in COUPA or the facility system.
• Support surgery staff in preparing supplies for next-day cases and pre-admit decisions.
• Maintain stock levels and relationships with suppliers; set standards for purchase orders.
• Negotiate vendor agreements to secure best price and terms.
