Job Title: Materials Manager (Fabrication Focus)

Location: Scottdale, GA

Reports To: Purchasing Manager

Schedule: Full-time, On-site

Salary: $72-80k annually (depending on experience)

Overview:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Materials Manager to lead material processing and routing for our fabrication shop. This role is ideal for someone with Tekla EPM experience, a solid grasp of construction drawings, and a passion for organizing complex workflows. You’ll help ensure materials move efficiently from design to production, with a strong focus on accuracy and inventory integrity.

What You’ll Do:

1. Interpret and process fabrication drawings in Tekla
2. Break drawings into production lots for shop use
3. Assign routing instructions for shop and external processing
4. Apply cutting instructions to main materials
5. Track and manage drawing changes and update material records accordingly
6. Maintain inventory accuracy within the Tekla EPM system
7. Supervise and guide the Material Coordinator
8. Collaborate closely with the purchasing, shop, and operations teams

What You Bring:

1. 3+ years of experience in construction, steel fabrication, or a related industry
2. Proficiency with Tekla EPM (required)
3. Ability to read and interpret structural/construction drawings
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office
6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
7. Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal
8. High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical training a plus)

Physical Requirements:

1. Primarily office-based with some shop floor movement
2. Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
