Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the company's inventory, ensuring optimal levels are maintained at all times.
• Develop, implement, and monitor demand planning processes to forecast future inventory needs accurately.
• Direct and coordinate the purchasing of materials, goods, and services, ensuring the best quality at the most cost-effective prices.
• Collaborate with various departments to understand their material needs and ensure these are met in a timely and efficient manner.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement in the materials management process.
• Implement and enforce policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepare and present regular reports on inventory levels, purchasing activities, and demand planning forecasts to senior management.
• Continuously identify and implement strategies for cost reduction and process improvement in materials management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the steel fabrication / heavy manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in materials management, demand planning, inventory management, and purchasing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and produce meaningful insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using accounting and inventory management software.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
