Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, SCM, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within steel fabrication/heavy manufacturing.
• Proven experience in materials management, demand planning, inventory management, and purchasing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and produce insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using accounting and inventory management software.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage company inventory to maintain optimal levels.
• Develop and monitor demand planning processes to forecast inventory needs.
• Coordinate purchasing of materials to ensure best quality at best prices.
• Collaborate with departments to understand material needs and meet them timely.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Enforce policies to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and present reports on inventory, purchasing, and forecasts to senior management.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction and process-improvement strategies.
