Jobot is seeking a Materials Manager for an automotive manufacturing operation in Kimmell, IN. You will lead a high-performing materials team, balance inventory with production demand, and drive supplier partnerships to keep operations moving on schedule.

• 1–2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Inventory Strategy – Balance stock levels to meet production demand while minimizing waste and excess.
• Own Supplier Partnerships – Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure materials.
• Drive Logistics & Distribution – Oversee transportation, warehousing, and scheduling for on-time delivery.
• Champion Quality – Ensure incoming materials meet automotive standards and specs with QA.
• Innovate & Improve – Lead Lean, automation, and tech-driven process enhancements.
• Manage Budgets – Forecast, control costs, and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Lead a High-Impact Team – Mentor planners, buyers, and warehouse staff.
• Ensure Compliance & Safety – Uphold EH&S standards and mitigate supply chain risks.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage Budgets – Forecast, control costs, and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
• Lead a High-Impact Team – Mentor and develop a team of planners, buyers, and warehouse staff, building a culture of collaboration and growth.
• Ensure Compliance & Safety – Uphold environmental, health, and safety standards while minimizing supply chain risks.

What We’re Looking For:

• Automotive manufacturing experience is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years in materials, supply chain, or procurement roles within manufacturing
• 1–2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of supply chain principles (procurement, logistics, inventory management)
• Proficiency in ERP systems, inventory management tools, and MS Excel
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
