Job summary

Judge Direct Placement is seeking an experienced Material Manager to lead our materials management team in a mass-customization manufacturing environment. This role drives planning, scheduling, inventory control, supplier performance, and material flow that supports high-mix, engineered-to-order production.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of running a materials management team in a mass customization setting, with expertise in ERP/MRP, BOM management, and LEAN initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in materials management in mass customization or high‑mix manufacturing.
• Strong ERP/MRP capability and BOM management.
• Proven leadership in fast‑paced production environments.
• Power BI experience.
• On-The-Floor manufacturing experience.
• LEAN experience preferred.
• Strong computer literacy specifically with Microsoft.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the materials team (planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory).
• Oversee MRP accuracy, demand planning, and production scheduling.
• Improve material flow for high‑mix, short‑run manufacturing.
• Optimize inventory levels and cycle count performance.
• Manage suppliers for quality, cost, and on‑time delivery.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to ensure seamless order fulfillment.

The successful candidate for this position will have a very specific set of skills and will need extensive knowledge of running a materials management team in a mass customization manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the materials team (planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory).
• Oversee MRP accuracy, demand planning, and production scheduling.
• Improve material flow for high‑mix, short‑run manufacturing.
• Optimize inventory levels and cycle count performance.
