Trident Consulting is seeking a dependable Materials Management Technician for onsite duties in Indianapolis, IN. The role covers shipping, receiving, material distribution, and inventory control with emphasis on accurate records and timely material delivery to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or materials management.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to operate a keyboard and calculator.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of hand trucks and pallet movers.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine duties related to shipping, receiving, material supply, and inventory control.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for outbound shipments with a high level of accuracy.
• Receive incoming materials, inspect shipments against packing lists, bills of lading, purchase orders, and other relevant documentation.
• Identify and report damaged goods, discrepancies, and documentation issues.
• Store materials at the appropriate temperatures and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Deliver accepted materials within 24 hours of receipt or notify the appropriate requestors.
• Accurately pick and pack customer orders, production materials, and shipment items, verifying FIFO requirements, lot numbers, shipping temperatures, addresses, and shipping methods.
• Prepare shipping, receiving, and distribution documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Operate material-handling equipment, including hand trucks, pallet movers, and forklifts, as required.
• Use computers, ERP systems, and material tracking software to maintain accurate inventory records.
• Perform daily cycle counts and participate in periodic physical inventory activities.
• Schedule carriers, coordinate shipment pickups, and track inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Research and Development, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams.
• Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse and distribution areas.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, cGMP requirements, ISO regulations, and applicable carrier procedures.
• Support timely customs clearance when applicable.
• Work overtime during peak periods, quarter-end activities, physical inventories, and other business-critical situations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the lead, supervisor, or manager.
