Job summary

Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, MS is seeking a reliable PRN Materials Management Technician to ensure staff have the supplies and equipment needed to provide excellent patient care.

You will process requisitions, receive shipments, stock items, label charges, and conduct regular inventory counts, with PPE and safety guidelines observed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of Materials Management/Purchasing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to communicate with hospital staff.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; able to work independently.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred; ability to lift and move heavy loads.
• Team player with a professional demeanor and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Process supply requisitions from hospital departments promptly.
• Order, transport, and stock medical supplies and equipment.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
• Label supplies with charge/price stickers for accurate billing.
• Conduct inventory counts and maintain stock levels.
• Coordinate with vendors in the Director's absence.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear PPE as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
