Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. in Newberry, South Carolina, seeks an Engineering Technician to support mechanical and electrical aspects of critical production line functions.

You will assist development and deployment of new models and help troubleshoot current model issues on the line. This role requires compliance with quality standards, tool-based part inspection, and collaboration with the engineering team on part approvals, CR registrations, and machine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge: Reporting, computer skills, problem solving.
• Skills: Soldering, power tools, maintenance, electrical metric devices, excel and Microsoft software are strongly preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• The ability to stand up for 8 - 10 hours a day required.
• Overtime opportunities possible.
• The ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• The ability to pass a drug test and background check.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Must be age 18 or older.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Support critical areas on both production lines to ensure all equipment and parts within these locations are working properly and according to specifications. Assist the development and implementation of new models and identify solutions for product issues of current/new models.
