Job summary

Samsung Electronics is seeking a maintenance technician for the second shift to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment in South Carolina. You will collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic teams to diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and ensure machines run per process specifications.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or equivalent experience, with knowledge of automation equipment (PLC, robots, servo systems) and the ability to read electrical

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or 2 years maintenance experience with high school diploma.
• Basic knowledge of automation equipment maintenance (PLC, Robot, Servo, Press, Injection, EPS).
• Fluent English language skills (speaking and writing).
• Good organizational skills and teamwork are required.
• Basic electrical knowledge, including reading wiring diagrams/schematics.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and work in physical positions.
• Ability to perform preventive and breakdown maintenance per process needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on manufacturing equipment and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic maintenance staff to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot equipment and understand process sequences and procedures.
• Operate maintenance tools and measurement devices to complete tasks.
• Maintain production equipment within specifications and safety regulations.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

In this role, you will perform various maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment, preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance.

Role and Responsibilities

Second Shift (3:40 pm - until)

• Implement equipment preventive maintenance regularly to keep them in its best condition for high productivity.
• Actively collaborate with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic maintenance employees and other personnel to identify, define, and solve developmental problems.
• Understand equipment functionalities and perform troubleshooting sufficiently.
• Operate equipment operation to meet process sequences and procedures
• Ability to operate maintenance tools and measurement for performing maintenance activities
• Contribute to team achievement by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Responsible for maintenance of production equipment and systems to ensure they are running within specs.
• Understand HSA and highly implement OSHA regulations.
• All other duties assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Associate’s degree in maintenance, electrical or mechanical engineering preferred; or in lieu of degree a high school diploma with 2 years of specific maintenance experience.

Required basic knowledge of automation equipment maintenance (PLC, Robot, Servo, Press, Injection, EPS)

Good organizational skills, team play and work efficiently are required.

Basic electrical knowledge, specifically reading wiring and electrical schematics is required.

Basic aptitude and knowledge about plant maintenance is required.
