Job summary

Samsung Electronics America is seeking a senior maintenance engineer for our on-site team in the United States. You will lead a small professional group, manage performance plans for critical production equipment, and implement preventative maintenance to prevent downtime and quality issues.

You will oversee repairs and drive improvements to equipment, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation across production lines.

Qualifications

• Typically requires at least 8 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years.
• Leads a small team of professionals and mentors team members to achieve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Performance management of production equipment: Establish and manage performance plans by reviewing equipment in the production line.
• Preventative maintenance: Implement and manage preventative maintenance items before failures or performance/quality issues occur.
• Maintenance of production equipment: Oversee maintenance after equipment failures or defects.
• Improvement management: Propose improvements and oversee remodeling or upgrades of production equipment.

• Maximize investment efficiency by carrying out scientific and economical maintenance tasks for equipment used in production process.
• Conduct maintenance of equipment used in the production process without any environmental safety-related accidents.

Role and Responsibilities

• [Preventative maintenance of production equipment] Establish and manage preventative maintenance items that are implemented before failure or defects in performance, quality and etc. are found.

• [Improvement management of production equipment] Suggest improvement measures and manage equipment used in the production process needs to be remodeled or improved.
