Job summary

Primary Services seeks a materials professional with EPC project experience to lead materials management for major capital projects in the U.S. You will coordinate across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, suppliers, and project teams to keep critical materials on schedule.

You will track long-lead equipment from procurement through testing, shipment, and handoff, while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure material readiness and mitigate supply risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• Hands-on experience supporting EPC projects is required.
• Experience in materials management, supply chain, procurement, logistics, or project controls on large projects.
• Experience coordinating with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, EPC contractors, suppliers, or equipment manufacturers.
• Understanding of project schedules, critical-path materials, long-lead equipment, and execution.

Join a Fortune 500 energy and utility company supporting major capital and infrastructure projects across the U.S. This is an excellent opportunity for a materials professional with EPC project experience who enjoys coordinating across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, suppliers, and project teams to keep critical materials and equipment on schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Lead materials management activities for assigned capital and construction projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track long-lead and critical-path equipment from procurement and manufacturing through testing, shipment, delivery, staging, and project handoff.
• Partner with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Operations, EPC contractors, Owner’s Engineers, and OEM suppliers to ensure material readiness.
• Monitor material availability against project schedules and construction milestones.
• Identify risks related to supplier performance, manufacturing, logistics, quality, and delivery, and develop mitigation or recovery plans.
• Maintain accurate material tracking, action logs, project documentation, and status reports.
• Escalate critical material constraints and help develop solutions to minimize project impacts.
• Prepare project and executive-level reporting related to material readiness, supplier performance, risks, and recovery actions.
• Support process improvements that strengthen materials management and project execution.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience supporting EPC projects is required.
• Experience in materials management, supply chain, procurement, logistics, or project controls within large capital or construction projects.
• Experience coordinating with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, EPC contractors, suppliers, or equipment manufacturers.
• Understanding of project schedules, critical-path materials, long-lead equipment, and project execution.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred:

• Experience in utility, energy, power, natural gas, industrial construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience with material readiness reporting, equipment tracking, supplier performance, or project controls.
• Experience identifying supply chain risks and developing mitigation or recovery plans.
