Job summary

Ellaway Blues Consulting is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and material-planning for complex construction projects.   • Strong understanding of long-lead equipment and materials, project schedules, and the relationship between procurement decisions and field execution.
  • Ability to assess supplier pricing, capacity, lead times, quality, and commercial terms.
  • Strong negotiation, organization, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across estimating, engineering, project management, scheduling, field teams, suppliers, and clients.

  • Develop procurement plans that align with project phases, design releases, funding milestones, construction sequencing, and delivery requirements.
  • Source and evaluate vendors for materials, equipment, services, storage, staging, and fabrication needs; secure competitive pricing and reliable availability.
  • Identify long-lead materials early, establish required order dates, and maintain visibility from submittal through fabrication, shipment, and delivery.
  • Manage material submittals in coordination with engineering, project management, vendors, and client stakeholders to avoid approval-related delays.
  • Coordinate owner-furnished and contractor-furnished material requirements, delivery schedules, and responsibilities across the project team.

What You’ll Bring
