Qualifications

• 5+ years of materials management, inventory control, or related operations.
• 3+ years of direct people-management experience.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing with autonomy.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/MES/WMS and linking material movement to system transactions.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Materials Management team across Inventory, Shipping, and Receiving.
• Own daily Materials Management operations across receiving, inventory control, shipping, putaway, material movement, staging, kitting, replenishment, and production support.
• Set team priorities and performance goals, allocate resources, provide feedback, address performance gaps, and identify staffing and development needs as the organization scales.
• Own the timely and accurate movement of material across Castelion, including inbound receipts, production inventory transfers, intersite transfers, and outbound shipments.
• Develop and maintain standard work, operating procedures, and scalable processes across Materials Management.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for inventory accuracy, receiving and shipping performance, material availability, transaction accuracy, cycle counts, and transfer execution.
• Maintain accurate physical and systematic inventory and ensure material movements are promptly reflected in Castelion's ERP/MES systems.
• Own cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, discrepancy investigation, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ensure disciplined inventory-control and traceability practices, including location control, FIFO, lot, serial, and shelf-life requirements.
• Own shipping and receiving execution, including prioritization, packaging, documentation, carrier coordination, inbound processing, tracking, and on-time performance.
• Partner with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure material is staged, transferred, and available in alignment with production priorities.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Production to resolve shortages, discrepancies, nonconforming material, transportation constraints, and other material risks.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across receiving, storage, picking, staging, kitting, shipping, and material movement.
• Develop warehouse layouts, storage strategies, point-of-use inventory, replenishment methods, and material-flow processes that support increasing production rates.
• Drive continuous improvement of ERP, MES, WMS, shipping, receiving, and inventory-management processes.
• Ensure proper control, storage, identification, segregation, packaging, and handling of high‑value, sensitive, hazardous, and traceable materials.
• Maintain organized, safe, and audit‑ready Materials Management areas and ensure compliance with applicable quality, export‑control, government property, transportation, and company requirements.
• Identify staffing, equipment, space, transportation, and process requirements necessary to support production growth.
• Communicate material risks, team performance, operational constraints, and improvement priorities clearly to leadership.
• Remain actively engaged with frontline operations to remove roadblocks and support critical production requirements.
