Job summary

Castelion in Torrance, CA is seeking an Inventory and Cost Accounting Manager to lead inventory and cost analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will ensure accurate inventory records, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with production and engineering to keep routings and BOMs up to date.

This role requires strong US GAAP knowledge (ASC 330), proficiency in NetSuite Inventory Management or similar ERP, and advanced Excel skills for variance analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in NetSuite Inventory Management or similar ERP is required.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, including ASC 330, and standard costing methodologies.
• Experience with inventory reconciliation, cycle counting, and physical inventory procedures.
• Strong understanding of standard cost vs. actual cost analysis, variance reporting, and cost control.
• Experience with routing, BOM validation, and cross-collaboration with supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering stakeholders.
• Audit Experience (external or internal)

Responsibilities

• Oversee inventory tracking of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Perform monthly and year-end reconciliations in NetSuite and Manufacturo.
• Manage the inventory month-end close process including journal entries and roll-forward schedules.
• Perform quarterly lower of cost or net realizable value assessments and maintain E&O reserves.
• Act as primary finance liaison in physical inventory counts and investigate variances.
• Identify inventory valuation discrepancies and coordinate resolution across departments.
