Collaborates with department leadership and operating room specialty coordinators to review unit monthly budget cost per case analysis and department requests.
Acts as a liaison between departments regarding orders, cost center discrepancies, and various material management issues.
Ensures vendors are educated regarding hospital policies and procedures and monitors their access into surgical services.
Assists and oversees the maintenance of the department DPC (Suncare).
Maintains unit Price File information, works with the management team on price file issues, cost per case analysis, and ensures departmental charge sheets are updated.
Analyzes and corrects the department JE Detail Report to ensure correct cost centers and adherence to monthly budget guidelines.
Works with FH Systems material management to ensure all department inventory stock supplies have the appropriate MPC numbers.
Works with leadership to set and maintain par levels for inventory.
Manages the inventory of implants and scans all tissue implants to ensure adherence to FDA tracking guidelines, utilizing the computer system for tissue tracking.
Processes department repairs, loaners, and special orders/requests within the budget for the designated department.
Participates in the training and orientation of new materials/supply personnel.
Supports the customer and employee satisfaction activities of the organization and maintains good relationships with physicians, management, other departments, and staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. [Required]

Current knowledge of Medical Terminology or completion of hospital approved course. [Preferred]
Knowledge of Inventory Control concepts [Preferred]
High School Grad or Equiv [Preferred]
Previous material management or hospital experience desirable. [Preferred]
