Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Materials Management Statistical Coordinator 1 to support efficient movement and availability of surgical supplies and implants for the Sterile Processing & Distribution Department. You will coordinate ordering, receiving, put-away, PAR levels, and cart readiness for scheduled cases.

The role involves managing urgent needs, recalls, and returns, plus basic data collection to aid inventory planning, aligning with hospital policies and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years progressive Healthcare Supply Chain and/or Surgical Specialty experience required.
• An Associate’s Degree or higher can substitute for experience in Materials Management.
• Completion of department approved Medical Terminology course.
• Completion of department approved Sterile Technique in-service and/or course.
• Completion of PeopleSoft Finance Supply Chain Mindlab course.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient movement, control, and availability of specialty supplies and implants for the Sterile Processing & Distribution Department.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving, put-away, PAR level management, specialty cart and c‑locker readiness for scheduled cases.
• Manage urgent supply needs, recalls, and returns; perform basic data collection and trend analysis to support inventory planning.
• Collaborate with Leadership to ensure the right supplies are available for the right case at the right time.
