Job summary

University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Logistics & Materials / OR / Surgery UTower is seeking a full-time Logistics & Materials Associate to manage inventory, unload shipments, and ensure accurate charging and labeling of supplies. The role requires flexibility with shifts: days, nights, or weekends may be necessary, with a typical M-F schedule and full-time hours.

Responsibilities include verifying expiration dates, rotating stock, and coordinating with departments to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or certifications may apply.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required.

Work Shift: Full-Time: 40 hrs. per week; M-F; Days, Nights, Flexible Schedule; Weekends may be required

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Checks expiration dates on supplies in inventory and rotates supplies.
  2. Assists in the unloading and unpacking of inventory items as they are received.
  3. Notifies to appropriate managing staff of any issues, such as overstocking and discrepancies.
  4. Fills tickets and requisitions, and delivers supplies to appropriate location in a timely manner.
  5. Assures that supplies are charged appropriately on the day of delivery.
  6. Prints and places appropriate labels on inventory packages.
  7. Ensures that receiving and order paperwork is accurate and preserved appropriately.
  8. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license
