PCI Pharma Services is seeking a Materials Management Associate I - Internal Logistics Driver at our San Diego site to support receipt, movement and shipment of Non-GMP materials, Raw Materials, Samples, Drug Substance and Final Product. Primary focus on internal logistics with 26-foot box truck transportation between Sorrento Valley sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (Bachelors preferred), up to 2 years in material management, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.

The Materials Management Associate I - Internal Logistics Driver supports the processes associated with inventory movement and material support to other PCI Pharma Services departments. This position should have a basic understanding of the receipt, shipment or movement of Non-GMP material, Raw Materials, Samples, Drug Substance and Final Product. Employees will be expected to follow PCI Pharma Service’s SOP’s for raw material movement, raw material inventory, material transfer, CSM inventory. *This opening would be primarily be focused on Internal Logistics - Driver position. Will be transporting of GMP materials between the sites in Sorrento Valley and driving a 26 foot box truck

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS-OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:

Train on GMP processes in materials management. Train on required SOPs and execute training curriculum. Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflect positively on the company. Performs various materials management functions such as receiving, inventory control, shipping and internal logistics. Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis. Embodies PCI Pharma Service’s cultural values. Aligns daily actions with department and company goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED. Bachelors in Science Preferred Zero to two (0-2) years of material management experience. Experience in a cGMP environment strongly preferred. Ability to follow directions in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. Ability to work independently, within prescribed guidelines or as a team member. Familiarity with quality standards, supplier management policies and cGMP standards. Extensive experience with ERP systems and planning tools preferred. Proven track record of problem solving and cross functional teamwork Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties the employee is: constantly required to sit, and to reach to use computers and other office equipment constantly stand for extended periods of time, up to four (4) hours/time. frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds constantly required to view objects at close and distant ranges with hand and eye coordination frequently required to communicate with others Valid Driver's License for driving positions and will be subject to background check including driver's record. Note: For the purpose of this summary, occasionally is used to represent up to 1/3 of the time given to the work day, frequently represents 1/3 to 2/3 of the time and constantly represents 2/3 or more of the time.

*The hiring rate for this position is $17.75 - $19.40 per hour plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
