Job summary

Viskase Companies, Inc is seeking a Distribution Supervisor (Finance) to oversee the tank farm, storeroom and material areas, ensuring safety, quality and cost efficiency. You will manage inventory accuracy, scheduling, and outbound shipments to production, while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires strong leadership, logistics experience, and proficiency with MS Office, SAP and Maximo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics and five or more years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of logistics, warehouse and storeroom experience including knowledge of MRP, transportation (rail, motor carrier and sea) and exportation regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated positive leadership, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient PC skills with MS Office, SAP and Maximo.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tank farm operations including rail car unloading, chemical storage and transfer of chemicals to production.
• Ensure outbound shipments to finishing plants are ready and shipped as required.
• Schedule deliveries to meet production needs and order major raw materials as directed.
• Monitor accuracy of semi-finished material and storeroom inventories.
• Manage storeroom to ensure adequate spare parts and supplies for production and maintenance.
• Ensure inbound materials are received and recorded accurately and timely.
• Stay abreast of DOT shipping rules and hazardous materials regulations.
• Supervise employees in safety and company policy compliance.
• Oversee payroll, attendance, and purchasing approvals for shipping and receiving.
• Attend weekly waste meetings to address distribution/production scheduling issues.
