Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA seeks a Supervisor, Materials to oversee inbound shipments, material movement and storage/control of materials. You will manage staff to meet requirements through standard processes and policy adherence.

Responsibilities include inventory management, implementing visual systems, and developing standard work to improve efficiency while ensuring safety and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing or distribution.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage material inventory and spot checks as needed.
• Establish continuous improvement processes to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Implement Kanban and other visual management systems for materials.
• Develop standard work and SOPs to improve processes and material control.
• Ensure safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
