Job summary

TI Automotive is seeking an experienced Materials Manager to lead procurement, storage and distribution for a manufacturing operation. You will oversee planners, schedulers and warehouse staff to ensure safe, cost-effective and on-time production with strict quality control.

You will develop production plans, manage inventory and budgets, and drive continuous improvements while aligning with OEM expectations and TS16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a Materials Manager/Supervisor, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Broad background in manufacturing technology and line operating experience.
• Hands-on warehousing and logistics experience.
• Working knowledge of the AQP process.
• Training in problem solving techniques.
• Knowledge of inventory control, master scheduling, MRP and capacity planning systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of AS/400 basics, BPCS software and MRP Pull Systems; willingness to learn more.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement, storage and distribution of materials to meet production objectives within cost and quality standards.
• Set goals, supervise planners, schedulers and warehouse staff to ensure quality control.
• Interact with team and other managers to resolve issues impacting customers and plant operations.
• Develop facility production plan and master scheduling through manufacturing processes.
• Manage inventory goals and purchasing budgets.
• Minimize material handling with a 'plan for every part' approach.
• Develop and implement procedures, policies and continuous improvement plans.
• Oversee warehouse systems to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity of receipts/shipments.
• Review debits/claims involving OEMs; act as customer contact.
