Job summary

Hendrickson is seeking a Materials Coordinator to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure materials are received and shipped to support manufacturing operations. You will work with production, purchasing, engineering, and logistics to meet delivery commitments and manage ERP transactions.

You will prepare shipping documents, monitor carrier performance, and ensure compliance with routing and ASN requirements while supporting audits and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or a related administrative environment preferred.
• Experience with an ERP system (preferably QAD) and carrier-management systems preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of bills of lading, packing lists, shipping labels, delivery receipts, and ASNs preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely inventory transactions in the ERP system and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Production, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering, Customer Service, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, freight, and inventory records for audits.
• Coordinate and prepare documentation for parcel shipments using UPS and FedEx.
• Schedule OEM outbound freight according to customer specifications.
• Route inbound shipments through approved 3PL providers or other methods.
• Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments with carriers, customers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Monitor carrier performance and communicate service issues.
• Create packing lists and bills of lading in the TMS and transmit ASNs.
• Comply with shipping, labeling, packaging, routing, and EDI/ASN requirements.
• Prepare and retain international shipping documentation as needed.
• Respond to freight invoices, delivery receipts, and related documentation.
• Provide data on on-time shipments, freight costs, and performance measures.
