Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of safe storage/handling of chemicals and materials.
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures for dangerous goods.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Must pass background check.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • HAZWOPER training preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Determines method of shipment and prepares shipping documents.
  • Receives merchandise; checks delivery slips and assists unloading as needed.
  • Inspects and verifies incoming goods; records shortages; rejects damaged goods.
  • Accepts or returns merchandise per procedures.
  • Calculates prices; applies barcodes and tags.
  • Organizes distribution and shipping of goods, including hazardous materials.
  • Maintains internal record-keeping systems and communications with suppliers.
  • Operates forklift or related equipment as needed.
  • Ensures area is secure and storage areas are properly maintained.
