Job summary

Clayton Manufacturing is seeking a Materials Manager to lead the purchasing, warehouse, and inventory control activities at the Home Building Facility. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Service, Sales, and Home Office teams to optimize material flow and cost management.

The role requires a 4-year degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering and demonstrated leadership in a manufacturing materials environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Supply Chain operations, Industrial Engineering, or similar related material experience required.
• 3 year’s leadership experience in manufacturing Materials Management and/or Supply Chain management (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems and Lean principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Materials department.
• Collaborate with facility leadership and corporate procurement teams.
• Forecast demand and manage risk to ensure material availability for production.
• Manage supplier contracts, pricing, and performance.
• Oversee inventory accuracy and cycle counting using ERP systems.
• Drive cost efficiency and process improvements across the supply chain.
