Job summary

Generac is seeking a Materials Supervisor in Wisconsin to oversee all internal material flow from receiving to line-side production, including end-to-end material movements and intraplant deliveries.

You will drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and reporting, while partnering with Quality, Purchasing and Production to meet KPIs and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of materials leadership experience.
• 2 years of experience leading teams, developing people or organizing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely material flow within the facility and timely delivery of incoming materials and shipment preparations.
• Develop and implement standard processes and strategies to improve production efficiency.
• Lead, supervise, and develop materials staff through education, training, coaching and certification; drive KPI achievement.
• Manage and optimize daily warehousing operations including staging, cycle count, and storage of materials.
• Oversee inventory management accuracy and establish inventory guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure efficient materials presentation to support production operations.
• Collaborate with Quality, Purchasing and Production to address quality and delivery issues and KPIs.
• Maintain communication between planning, purchasing and production to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Lead and improve Material/Inventory Management practices (Cycle Count Accuracy, Transactions, Bar Coding, RFID) and Fill Rate.
• Maintain staffing levels for daily material management balancing capacity.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

2 years of materials leadership

2 years of experience leading teams
