Job summary

Morgan Truck Body is seeking a Materials Lead for the 1st shift in Janesville, WI. You will oversee material flow, inventory control, and coordination with production to meet delivery goals. The role requires leading the Materials team, ensuring safety, quality and lean initiatives (PPS, 5S, TPM).

Overtime and rotating shifts may be required. Responsibilities include managing JDE transactions, stocking, and supporting the Materials Manager with daily functions and training of staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must pass forklift certification.
• Must have a safe attitude and keep a clean, orderly workplace.
• Overtime including Saturdays may be required.
• Flexibility to rotate shifts.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Experience with PPS; 5S; Lean; CI encouraged.
• Supervisory experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and move materials to production areas.
• Monitor and control inventory; support JDE transactions.
• Coordinate with Production Supervisors and Team Leads on shortages and fulfillment plans.
• Provide training and guidance to team members.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and housekeeping standards.
• Lead by example to promote quality and continuous improvement.
