Job summary

CNH Industrial is seeking a Materials Engineering Laboratory Technician to support materials engineers by operating lab equipment, generating test data, and preparing samples for metallurgical and material testing. You will help maintain calibration and PM for equipment while ensuring safety and documentation standards are met.

The role requires an Associate’s degree and at least 6 years of lab or shop experience with metal cutting saws and basic equipment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork required.
• Ability to follow lab safety procedures and ISO9001 guidelines.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks and data entry to support test reports.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment for materials testing.
• Prepare samples and document results to assist engineers.
• Cut and prepare metallurgical samples for evaluation.
• Capture images with microscopes and run hardness tests.
• Support environmental testing and data collection for paint, plastics, and elastomers.
• Maintain lab area, calibrate equipment, and track consumables.
