Job summary

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or related field.
• Minimum: Associate's degree in Chemical Process Technology or college-level chemistry, math, and related labs.
• Requires data interpretation and statistical experience.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test materials for chemical and physical properties.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment such as thermometers, hydrometers, chromatographs, viscometers, calorimeters, extruders.
• Test new methods and procedures and evaluate data to make recommendations.
• Perform air/fume tests for safety and environmental control.
• Conduct routine material manipulations after training (saw cutting, sanding, milling).
