Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Laboratory Technician to turn field samples into reliable numbers. You will work inside a documented quality system, handling samples, running tests, recording data, and ensuring chain of custody in every step.

Pay ranges from $25 to $35 per hour with overtime during busy testing seasons. Training is provided; this is a facility-based role serving the Buffalo region, with some field sampling support as needed.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and clean documentation practices.
• Training provided; prior lab or CMT experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform repetitive precision work accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform ASTM D698, D1557, D2216, D4318, C136, and C39 testing
• Maintain calibration, standardization, and quality records
• Log samples and preserve chain of custody
• Break cylinders and report strength results same day
• Support proficiency sample programs and accreditation assessments
