Job summary

The position involves rotating shifts, some overtime, and work on holidays and weekends. Base pay starts at $29.51/hour with potential increases to $32.01/hour after training and performance checks, and could reach $39.57/hour based on performance and tenure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology or related field.
• Data interpretation and statistical experience.
• Minimum: Associate’s degree in Chemical Process Technology or completion of General Chemistry with labs and College Mathematics.
• Three or more courses with labs: Analytic Chemistry, Biology, Organic/Inorganic Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Instrumentation, or Applied Science.
• Must be able to wear PPE (personal protective equipment).
• Must be legally able to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test materials for chemical and physical properties as part of production.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment (thermometers, hydrometers, chromatographs, viscometers, calorimeters, etc.).
• Test new methods, equipment, or procedures and present data-based recommendations.
• Perform air/fume tests for safety and environmental control.
• After training, perform routine material manipulations including saw cutting, sanding, and milling.
