Owens Corning seeks a QC / Lab Technician to support plant quality and R&D trials in a fast-paced lab environment. You will perform raw material and batch testing, assist with batch release, and maintain documentation with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• Laboratory, quality control, materials testing, accounts payable, ERP, or manufacturing experience preferred; training may be provided.
• Basic understanding of chemistry and ability to safely use laboratory equipment.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety, controlled documentation, and electronic recordkeeping preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn ERP, invoice workflow, and laboratory record systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Safety and chemical handling per PPE, waste disposal, spill response, and emergency procedures.
• Perform and document quality control and analytical testing (IR, KF water, viscosity, foam tests, density, etc.).
• Use test data to support batch release decisions per approved methods and site procedures.
• Maintain laboratory logs, notebooks, and batch-release documentation per site procedures.
• Support accounts payable, invoice review, reconciliation, and customer credit processes.
• Prepare small lab batches and assist R&D and plant teams with testing and equipment setup.
