Position Summary

The Materials and Inventory Specialist manages day-to-day operations for national materials programs, ensuring efficient functioning. This role centralizes communication and tasks related to these programs, enabling field personnel to focus on core activities. Responsibilities include pricing analysis, product specifications, reporting, compliance, and training. The specialist collaborates across business areas to meet market needs for materials required by field teams and vendors.

Essential Functions
  1. Work with manufacturer partners to consolidate communication and make informed decisions based on current standards.
  2. Become a subject matter expert and primary contact for national materials programs.
  3. Administer materials ordering software/apps, coordinate with suppliers on updates and training.
  4. Collaborate with Service Directors to ensure policy compliance and inventory counts.
  5. Provide analysis to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize processes.
  6. Assist accounting with invoices, payments, and supplier issues.
  7. Support Kitting initiatives and transaction processes.
  8. Coordinate with Central Ops and Field Construction teams on material needs.
  9. Evaluate material requests with Field Managers and Procurement Managers.
  10. Track requests and update on status in a timely manner.
  11. Perform inventory reviews, data analysis, and report generation.
  12. Monitor supplier pricing and work with management on adjustments.
  13. Prepare regular reports as needed.
  14. Cross-train and support other procurement roles.

Qualifications include a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in related fields, experience with manufacturers and suppliers, strong communication skills, ability to work independently, organizational skills, knowledge of home repair and inventory principles, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel). Experience with inventory management software is a plus.
