Job summary

BAC (Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc.) is seeking a Materials Supervisor to lead inventory movement, kitting, and shipping in a manufacturing environment. You will drive inventory accuracy, coordinate material delivery to the line, and manage non-conforming products to protect financial and quality standards.

You will work with SAP/MRP systems, mentor a team, and implement improvements for timely material flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience in supply planning and procurement.

• Lean and DMAIC Root Cause Analysis Principles; JIT concepts.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Operations Management, and Accounting).

• APICS certification in Production and Inventory Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns safety for Material Movement Group and enforces proper equipment use.
• Support production with inventory in correct quantity, location, and condition.
• Establish objectives for the team aligned with strategy and evaluate performance.
• Develop team members with emphasis on potential leaders and high performers.
• Continuously implement logistical improvements for timely material delivery to production.
• Define and manage ideal inventory levels and update system attributes.
• Assist with disposition of obsolete and slow moving inventory.
• Ensure accurate inventory and month end reporting.
• Perform cycle counts in SAP and generate variance reports.
• Manage consigned inventory programs and vendor relationships.
• Ensure receiving procedures protect BAC’s financial interests and quality standards.
• Coordinate vendor returns and debit memos for non-conforming product.
• Resolve SAP inventory and material movement root causes.
• Maintain shipping records and document control compliance.
• Establish zero-defect handling and damage prevention in material flow.
• Optimize space in plant, warehouse, and yard.
• Create inventory control processes to improve value stream.
• Support Accounting in issue resolution.
• Promote sustainability and waste reduction in operations.
• Support innovation by translating ideas into business opportunities.
