Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Materials Industrial Engineer to optimize material flow and layout in our automotive manufacturing environment in Spring Hill, Tennessee. You will analyze current material movement and develop improved future-state processes to boost efficiency and reduce waste, supporting production launches.

The role requires strong CAD skills, PFEP experience, and a hands-on approach to identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that streamline operations on the plant floor.

Qualifications

2+ years in materials or process engineering in automotive manufacturing.
Strong experience with material flow, handling, and process optimization.
Experience supporting plant/layout changes using CAD.
Experience with PFEP and line-side delivery.

Responsibilities

Analyze and optimize material flow, handling, and line-side delivery in General Assembly.
Support plant/layout changes using CAD for material storage and equipment placement.
Develop PFEP processes to optimize part movement, storage, and delivery.
Identify bottlenecks and waste and design future-state material flow solutions.
